Let Me Anoint You ...

LET ME ANOINT YOU with My Presence.  I am King of kings and Lord of lords, dwelling in unapproachable Light.  When you draw near to Me, I respond by coming closer to you.  As My Presence envelops you, you may feel overwhelmed by My Power and Glory.  This is a form of worship:sensing your smallness in comparison to My Greatness.

Man has tended to make himself the measure of all things.  But man's measure is too tiny to comprehend My majestic vastness.  That is why most people do not see Me at all, even though they live and move and have their being in Me.

Enjoy the radiant beauty of My Presence.  Declare My glorious Being to the world!

  1. 1 Timothy 6:13-16 - Paul said, "In the sight of God, ... I charge you to keep this command (flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness) without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time - God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen. (New International Version)

James 4:8 - "Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded" (New International Version)

How can you come near to God? James gives us 5 ways: Submit to God (which means yield to his authority and will, commit your life to him and his control, and be willing to follow him; (2) Resist the devil (Don't allow Satan to entice and tempt you; (3) Wash your hands ... and purify your hearts (that is, lead a pure life; be cleansed from sin, replacing your desire to sin with your desire to experience God's purity; (4) Grieve and mourn and wail in sincere sorrow for your sins (Don't be afraid to express deep heartfelt sorrow for what you have done); and (5) Humble yourself before the Lord and he will lift you up (Humbling ourselves means recognizing that our worth comes from God alone. To be humble involves working with his power according to his guidance, not with our own independent effort. Although we do not deserve God's favor, he reaches out to us in love and gives us worth and dignity, despite our human short comings.
